There are currently four sections within the Settings tab, and each of them is explained in more detail below.
Privacy #
This is a setting regarding what can be seen about you on SentLive; firstly whether you want your Profile to be hidden in the Members directory, which is a simple Yes or No (default is Yes), and then who is actually able to see your profile, with a choice of Public (everybody), or Private (only those you are connected to). We believe that you must be able to choose your level of privacy. Obviously hiding a profile will mean that no one will know that you exist on SentLive (apart from those you decide to connect with) which would limit your opportunities to meet new people, but it is entirely your choice. However we would recommend it for younger users so that only the adults and other users they already know in real life can interact with them, and means they are able to avoid any possibility of unwanted online attention.
Sounds #
Choose whether to have the sound on or off after hitting the Crew, Loop or Stint Button. This turns on/off the audio confirmation of the type of Alert that has been sent, which may be particularly useful to have on for those with sight problems. The default is On.
Notifications #
This section lets you decide which notifications you want for actions that can occur on SentLive. These are currently as follows;
Push notifications
- Signal Alerts
- No Response Alerts
- CALM Alerts
- SentLive Updates
- Private Messages
These are all On by default when you first join.
With all of the above Settings options please remember to click the relevant Submit button in each section if you have made changes. You may also need to refresh the page for any changes to be shown.
Invites #
Technically there is no setting to make in this section, as it simply displays your unique referral link, QR Code and details of anyone you have invited to join Sentlive using those methods. You can use these in conjunction with the ‘Invite Others To Sentlive’ button near the top of your Profile, which opens the sharing options available on the device being used.
